carefully planned out in order for you to be organized
and stay that way.
- Start small
– when you want to clean a
messy room, start from small areas or portions with less
clutter. Maybe your office table or study table needs
arrangement? You can start from there all the way to bigger
areas.
- Make a list of to-do
things –
writing down notes on what you need to do for the day or
the week helps you remember to do your decluttering. If you
do this, you will save time and energy. Not only that, you
are able to do other important things as well such as
meetings or getting your grocery.
- Keep your space clutter
free – throw
out the things you don’t need or use. Keep only the things
that you are using or you may find handy in the future.
Remember that no clutter also means no
distraction.
- Make a schedule
– put everything in a
specific time and date such as paying bills or attending
appointments. Schedule all the phone calls you need to do
for the day or sign up all the things you need to in one
sitting. Don’t let the due date come before you do all of
these things. Do them while you still have the time to do
so.
- Clean your filing
stations – go
through your files all over again. Organize your folders
and important documents. For your convenience, schedule a
monthly reorganization. This way you know where the
important things are when you need
them.
- Buy an
organizer/drawer – there are many cute designs of drawers
for you to choose from. Putting all pens, paper clips,
pencils etc. in one place is a good way to have a clean and
organized area. You can even buy several layers of these
drawers depending on how many you need and restock them
whenever they’re not in use.
- Label items
– besides keeping them in
drawers, you can also label boxes or drawers so you know
where each item goes. It is nice to know that you have
everything in its proper place so you can easily find what
you are looking for.
- Use a calendar
– keeping track of your
progress, personal dates and meetings can help you
eliminate the chances of missing out an appointment. There
are many calendars to choose from in which you can put
important notes for all your appointments. This way you can
work smoothly and increase the possibility of saving
time.
- Set time
– if you are keeping track of
your progress, you might as well keep track of the time you
spent in one project or activity. This way you will know if
you are improving or delaying
things.
These are only a
few of the many things you can do to stay organized. If
you do one step at a time and follow them as instructed,
you are sure to be as organized as you can be in time. So
take your time to learn them. After all, being organized
doesn’t happen overnight so do
enjoy.
